Blue Cuckoo started life in 2016 as an editing house for documentary editor Bjørn Johnson.
Over the course of the next six years, we were engaged on a number of high profile
projects including Don't F**k with Cats, Bad Sport and Trainwreck: Woodstock '99.
In 2022 we began the transition into independent production, with the ethos of telling compelling and visually gripping factual stories and working with filmmakers who share our passion and creativity.
Key to that vision were the appointments of Alexander Brunati, Annie Macnee and Irene Antoniades, who were brought in to bolster our development slate and to assemble a core team of
creatives who will help drive individual projects forward.
Blue Cuckoo welcomes collaborations and co-productions with first-time filmmakers,
and will openly support imaginative projects which share our values and vision.
